Okay, so I've tried looking this up every way I can think of, but I can't find anything relating to this particular audio playback issue.
My phone seems to be the only device that doesn't want to play audio in this car. When I connect using a 3.5 mm headphone jack, the audio continues to play out of my phone speakers. However, all other devices (ipods, other phones etc) have no problem connecting with the same exact cable and jack. Also, when I connect via bluetooth, the audio usually (but not always..) continues to play out of my phone speakers. But again this method works with every other device I try. Another thing that is pretty weird: after connecting to the car via bluetooth and for about an hour afterwards, the headphone jack stops recognizing other devices as well. So, if I go into the car and pair using bluetooth, then go inside and try to use wired headphones, the audio will then play out of my phone speakers.
I should also mention that my phone had no other audio playback issues. Wired headphones work 100% fine and so do bluetooth headphones and speakers. This car is the only exception. And the car plays audio without a hitch using any other device besides my phone.
