AC Question

I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 and on June I noticed my phone was going dead but I didn't plug in it to charge because I didn't need it at the moment. I put the phone in my shoe and went to bed. When I woke up the next morning and tried to turn it on it wouldn't come on so I figured it had went completely dead. I tried plugging it up but it wouldn't do anything so I figured it was a faulty charger. I tried multiple chargers and still nothing. I took the battery out and plugged it into the charger and the charging light will come on for maybe a minute or 2 then go right back out.

I finally took it to a repair shop (Digital Doc) and told them the issue. They tried switching out the battery and also checking the motherboard for corrosion and everything. It won't come on at all. I now have to pay the repair shop $30 for a diagnostic test and they couldn't even fix it :(

Does anyone know anything I can do to the phone?? I need those pictures and text messages and things in that phone.

Welcome to Android Central! I assume they tried a completely different battery that was fully charged. Unfortunately, it just may be that the motherboard or some specific chips on it failed. The phone is getting a little old, and the chance of hardware failure does go up with age. If it was that kind of hardware failure, and you had your important data store on Internal Storage, then I'm afraid it's gone. Forensic data recovery specialists exist, but they probably cost hundreds if not thousands of dollars.

Was anything stored on a microSD card? That data should still be accessible if you remove the card and put it into your computer.
