My phone is disabled and won't take my password

[Android Central Question]

My son tried unlocking my phone and kept on getting wrong and then the phone said "wait 30 seconds and try again" so I waited and tried again (with my actual password) but it wouldn't take my password and kept going back to "wait 30 seconds and try again" I have got a Samsung s8
