My phone is hot to touch, and cannot turn off, SAMSUNG is flashing on the screen. What is wrong?

My SAMSUNG s6 is hot/warm to touch, I cannot turn it off. I tried to charge it its not showing charging. The word SAMSUNG is flashing on the screen. What is the problem?

Welcome to Android Central! That doesn't sound good. Force a shutdown by pressing and holding Power and Vol Down for about 15 seconds. Then try booting into Safe Mode: https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-29226
