My phone is locked can I remove MIcrosd card to see what is on it before I reset phone

My phone is locked can't remember pin can I remove Micro SD card and put it in iPad to make sure pics are on it before I reset phone or is there a way to get by pin without loosing data???? Plus help

Sure you can. I would take it out first and then reset the phone.
