My phone says its rooted but its not

I got to admit when I got this phone I was kind of dumb and tried to root this phone but I failed. I downloaded root checker and it says it's not rooted but some apps say it is. Any solution?

Exactly what did you do when trying to root?
Don’t forget that ‘this phone’ tells us nothing about what phone you have. You don’t have to tell us of course but members may find it easier to help if you do.

I'm not really sure what I did to root it but I followed a YouTube video. My phone is a galaxy s7(exynos version)

Download root checker in play store see if it says your rooted.

Most likely your not rooted

That's the only app I've used to verify when I use to root .

I wouldn't worry about those apps that say you are

They're just the apps that come pre installed in the phone
