my phone turns off

My phone has been turning itself off. Is this normal or am I going to be needing a new phone?

This is not normal. You can try a couple of things. A new battery could fix it if your current battery is faulty. You can also try a factory data reset. If your phone keeps doing this after a factory data reset, you should take it to your carrier and see about a replacement.

I hate having to do a factory reset...So much work putting everything back on. I put in a new battery when I got it last summer.
