My phone was damaged yesterday Could you help?

I can't access my recent WhatsApp chats and accounts since my previous phone was damaged, the original SIM was too small for an older phone i was using. Got another SIM and fitted into the old phone, but I just get 3 year old messages, all my recent WhatsApp messages have disappeared

Unfortunately Whatsapp doesn't back up your conversations on their end at all. You can only restore from a local back up (which would require access to your old phone to either get the back up from there if it's being generated, or create one) or, if set up in the old phone BEFORE it was damaged, from a cloud back up on Google Drive (this option is not enabled by default and would have required you to sign into your Drive account and enabled cloud back up).
