my phone wigs out

For the last 3 months my phone will bug out when I go to unlock my screen, it will unlock then select apps of its choice without me even touching the screen...I then have to press the lock button on the side(of my samsung galaxy s) n it usually stops sometimes. Its pretty annoying, I'm hoping it doesn't call my boss on a night out or anything lol, is there a reason it does this or a way to stop it?

First thing I usually do if an Epic starts acting crazy is to soft reset by pressing the Volume-up + Camera + and then Power. That for some reason takes care of a lot of software issues. If that doesn't work, it may be the screen, but that seems unlikely since locking the phone fixes it temporarily. I would try the soft reset I suggested above, if it still happens, you may consider reflashing the phone if you haven't already done so. If all else fails, take it to a Sprint store to see if they can replace it.

Reflashing? what does that do? The first time it started acting up sprint did a reset, it erased all my apps. And I've reset it myself twice because of a TwLauncher error. Maybe too many resets can cause this?
