So, I have been using a different charger for my phone the past week or 2, and everything was working normally, dropped it once earlier today, then while using it to send youtube videos to xbox, the screen goes bright white and freezes, i try to turn it on, no display, no nothing? WTF?????

I have no idea why it crashed like it did and it claimed to have 40% battery life, what can be done?

Was it getting hot while sending the videos?
Have you tried to unplug it, remove the battery, and wait a couple minutes before trying again?
If that doesn't work, it's possible there was a hardware failure (not likely caused by the charger, but don't tell the sprint folk you weren't using the "official" charger just in case).
Generally the screen going white, than shutting down, isn't a good sign :(

well, after last night it seems that it doesnt want to turn on, i got it to turn on once and it went to the multi colored X logo after google then froze and shut down again

Sounds like it's toast :(
Depending on when you purchased it (if new), it may still have some warranty left. Head on down the sprint store and see what they say about it. And since it won't even come on, it won't matter if it was unlocked or not :)

ok, will i need papers id etc, i don't have the receipt but i did get a 1 year of warranty for it. I have the original box it came in. yes i bought it in store brand new. i'm going to get my new one unlocked anyways, how much should i pay for someone to do this? can i still get automatic upgrades for my google play items?

What do you mean by "unlock" if you mean the bootloader unlock to install custom recovery and ROM it then don't pay anyone a thing just download wugs nexus root toolkit and follow the instructions

Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Android Central Forums

If you have Sprint's TEP then a warranty makes no difference, they will fix/replace it for FREE. Just bring it to a repair store, don't go through Assurion. Assurion will make you pay a $100 deductible, Sprint store won't.

And if by "unlocking" you mean so you can switch carriers, then you can't. CDMA phones can NOT be unlocked. But, if you mean to flash a ROM, then slinkies has the right idea.
