my two questions are this..
when using the google card to get directions home, i accidently chose at&t navigator as default. how do i get to choose again? id like to use google.

second, how can i get music that i have purchased thru itunes to load and play on the One?
thanks for now
chris

Hi Chris,

Go into Settings > Apps and find the AT&T Navigator app. Click the button that says 'Clear Defaults'. This should let you choose which app to open for navigation the next time you click the card in Google Now.

As far as the music goes, if it's iTunes Plus music, it's DRM free and should copy over just fine. If it's DRM protected, you can sign up for iTunes Match and re-download all your content in DRM free formats, or you can find a piece of software to convert them. Unfortunately, I'm not familiar with what the go-to application for this would be. I don't use iTunes. A simple Google search should find you something, you can search these forums, or I'm sure someone else can chime in. I've edited your thread title so people who pass by it and know the answer may click and speak up. HTH.

Great post ^ right there. I would just add, I use iTunes too (I am one of the weirdos who actually really likes it) and you can copy playlists from iTunes onto your HTC. The procedure is a little convoluted, but once you get used to it it only takes a couple of minutes:

1. Create your playlist in iTunes as you would normally.
2. Create a folder on your desktop and name it after the playlist or however you want it named.
3. select all the tracks in the playlist and drag them across and drop them into the folder you just created. iTunes will copy the tracks into the folder.
4. Now go back to iTunes and right-click the playlist. Choose 'Export...' and save the file as an M3U file in the folder where all the songs are.
5. Now you can plug in your HTC one and move the folder to your music folder on your phone.
6. Your HTC should now find the playlist and play the songs in the correct order. Job Done!

I just used the HTC sync and it transferred all of my songs and playlists from itunes to my One. Is that what you are looking for? If so, it's incredibly easy. Google Music will also transfer music over and will add new songs when you add to itunes.

appreciate the responses..
i tried using the htc sync app but i could never actually get it to recognize my phone as connected.
i had to transfer pictures just via drag/drop thru windows.

next question is regarding ringtones/sounds/notifications.
i tried to move some ringtones... i did that successfully.
i also moved my favorite blackberry text tone to the phone and dropped it into the 'notifications' folder and selected it thru settings.
the problem is that is will only play from a gmail new email. it wont play when i get a text message. is there a special place to put (or change) mms/sms tones?
thanks
