My s3 is messed up!

My s3 started lagging out of nowhere.then it just froze up so i did a battery pull.booted up fine but when i get to my lock screen it gets laggy and locks up and unlocks and reboots randomly. battery pulls are not an option anymore, there just not working..any ideas?

Did you install any recent apps?

the last app i installed was lookout mobile like a week ago...

Id try and see if you can get in a quick Factory Reset before it crashes again. If you arent rooted or anything like that, it sounds like a candidate for a warrenty replacement.

hmmm a factory reset...how would i do that again?

System Settings > Back up ad Reset > Factory Data Reset


Its a complete reset...so yull have to reinstall your apps and all that.

problem is i cant even get to my settings.it wont let me click anything! ugh guess my only option is to go to verizon

Wow that's odd I would have recommended a hard reset as well but if you can't get into the settings then it's not really an option. Try plugging in the phone as it might be a battery issue though I highly doubt it.

woah ok so i tried one last battery pull and when it rebooted it went into safe mode....AND IT WORKED. in safe mode things went well so i rebooted once more and i have a good ol' s3 back to normal...wonder why this happened tho..

How can you boot it up in safe mode??

honestly I have no idea lol I battery pulled while playing call of duty and after like five min I looked at my phone and it was in safe mode...
