When I go to download a new app it says error: not enough space. So I put an SD card in and it stills says there's not enough space.

Welcome to Android Central! How much Internal Storage do you have free? Check your Settings>Storage menu. The SD card doesn't really figure into allowing you to install more apps if Internal Storage is close to full.
