My S4 wont charge although the lightening bolt shows no charge goes to phone?

my s4 wont charge although the lightening bolt shows no charge goes to phone

i plug the charger to phone, lightening bolt appears as if to say its charging but as soon as i remove the charger the battery is dead

Welcome to the forums!

It could be a bad battery, or power charger/outlet. I would first try another charger and outlet. Then a new battery. Let us know how it goes.
