So for the 4th night over the past 2 weeks or so, i plug my phone in and when i wake up in the morning it has completely locked up.

The status light green so the phone is still on i guess. The only way for me to be able to access it is doing a hard reset (Hold power and volume down).

I'm not sure what might be causing this or if others are having this issue. I wouldn't MIND doing a factory reset. I'm hoping there's something else causing this.

The green led is indicating fully charged battery only.
Try a cache partition wipe to start with, that usually fixes minor ailments.
Power +volume UP + Bixby press simultaneously. When it vibrates, release power but hold the other two.
When you see the robot, let them go and wait. The robot falls over and dies. Give your buttons a quick prod to put you into another screen - here you have some options, be careful what you choose... Run down to cache partition wipe and press power to authorise. It may ask you to confirm. Then reboot. Spring cleaning done! You don't lose any data and you should have a fresh faster phone and fingers crossed, no bug!

I'm assuming this is an autocorrect fail.:p

Another approach would be to boot into Safe Mode right before bed, and see if the same thing happens in the morning. If it doesn't then something you installed is probably causing the problem. It can be tricky to pinpoint the exact app, though -- you may have to uninstall apps one by one.

I will give this a shot. It didn't happen overnight tonight, and it doesn't seem to be any regular interval, but i'll see how long it takes to happen again. Thanks!
