My S9 internal storage keeps telling its almost full

Hi, my S9 says internal 64GB is almost full with the DiskUsage app telling me 34.3GB is taken up by System data (I cannot see any details)
I have tried removing the 256gb SD card, restarting, turning off.
Any help would be appreciated

Welcome to Android Central! Go to Settings>Apps​ and check the app details for any social media or messaging apps you have. Sometimes those apps build up an enormous amount of data.

Go to device care in settings>tap storage
I think that app disc storage is off , it works for older Android devices
