My S9+'s Internal Storage is full for no foreseeable reason

It shows 95% of my storage is used with:

84.93 MB Images
1.77 MB Videos
441 MB Installation Files
2.97 MB Audio Files
41.36 MB Documents
60.48 GB Other

I've tried several storage analyzers and ES Explorer and AirMore and none of them can identify what the "Other" is. Any thoughts or tips to determine, access and delete "Other" would be greatly appreciated.

See [Guide] Storage is Missing to see the actual situation - you don't have as much storage available as you think you have.

(Other usually refers to data being kept by apps including pictures being saved by web browsers [you can't see them unless they're downloaded - the browser should clear its cache after a certain amount of time, but if you use the Home button instead of the Back button when you're finished using an app, the app still runs in the background. Home only runs the launcher, it doesn't end the current app.], data [and pictures] saved by games, etc.)

I've tried looking through ES Explorer and it's storage analysis tools (including hidden files), I've tried around a half dozen other storage analyzers and AirMore and I can't see what is using 60GB of my 64GB internal storage.

I'll look at the guide. I understand I don't have a full 64GB of internal space, but to lose 60GB of it to "Other", makes no sense.

FYI I'm almost OCD about cleaning cache, use CCleaner on a daily, if not more often basis and I'm constantly closing all running apps if CCleaner doesn't close them first.

Maybe uninstall the CC cleaner see if it's causing issues , I wouldn't keep clearing ram in the background manually not good thing.

OCD or not, apps that "manage RAM", like CCleaner does, are constantly fighting Android, because Android won't remove an app that has a process that's lbeing used by another app - CCleaner, and other apps like that, will. So the app removes the needed app, Android reloads it, the app removes it, etc., etc. That wastes battery and slows the phone down. (And could store tons of data.)

Before uninstalling it, go into it in Settings > Apps and force stop it, then clear cache and clear data (in that order - if you don't force stop it, it can cache something after you've cleaned cache [or do the same thing with data], then get uninstalled - and you never regain that space unless you do a factory reset). Then uninstall it. Then see how storage looks.

I followed that exactly and it did nothing.

I remember awhile back that someone posted that Facebook app was responsible for this type of situation , maybe look into that by uninstall if you have one .

I uninstalled Facebook and that did nothing. I will probably just reformat the internal storage since there really isn't much on it and hope I don't have the same issue.

Double tap the 51gb block. It should expand and allow you to view further.

It doesn’t. I was tapping it like crazy and all it did was make the big block red. There is no storage analyzer app that allows me to dig down deeper into this “Other/System” space.

Mystery solved for now.... I installed DiskUsage and it showed me an app called VisionProvider that was using over 30GB of space, so I cleared the cache and data of that app and now I’m using 43% of storage rather than 99%.

I’m guessing it has to do with my firm’s crazy security, but does anyone know what VisionProvider is??

It looks like it is related to bixby vision.
