Hey guys, I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 and about 2 months ago the screen cracked but worked perfectly fine. About two weeks ago I was in my basement and I had to tie my shoe (I know, weird) so I went to tie my shoe (forgetting my phone was in my hand) and I was about 3" (3 inches) from the ground and it slipped and hit the cement floor. It only had a corner ding. Then, about 30 minutes later there was a red dot on the screen. I figured I'd let it sit on my table for a day so it could basically fix itself. One day later, the screen is completely black. It turns on and you can hear sounds and the buttons light up, but no actual screen works. I thought this was much like an iPhone's occasional problem (Screen goes black hear things, etc.). so I tried the hard reset and it did not work... Anyone know what happened? Or how much it would cost to fix it? Thanks in advance.

I think its best you get it fixed as soon as possible before more problems arise. The fibre connecting the screen to the motherboard is damaged that's why there seems to be no light being seen from it. This might affect other components of your phone mainly because costs something lioke it keeps sometimes shows something then goes off. I wouldn't know the price of fixing because it depends with where you are.:)

Seems more like the LCD was damaged when the screen cracked, and that last little drop finished it off. Now you need a new screen.
