My Samsung galaxy s7 apparently locked itself; how can I unlock it?

I bought an ATT unlocked s7 phone, but after a short time, I think some software update locked it, because it doesn't recognize the SIM card of my carrier. Samsung told me it's locked. What can I do to unlock it?

If the phone was unlocked via software and you updated the OS, yeah, most likely said unlock was lost. You need to, well, unlock it again, either with a permanent code or a software patch (the latter, likely, rendered useless should you update again). You can either go to the carrier you got it from if the device is paid off for a full unlock or use a paid 3rd party service online to get a code (not guaranteed, obviously).
