My Samsung keeps skipping lockscreen and goes straight to password

Android Central Question

Every time i turn off my phone and turn it back on, it skips the lockscreen and goes straight to the password. I cant see my notifications or clock as if skips that screen. Can someone please help me

It may be something to do with the lock timer. Take a look in Settings, Lock Screen, or wherever it may be.

It's a standard security feature to require a PIN/password anytime you turn the phone on. Once you do that and it finishes the bootup process, it's assumed you're using the phone and doesn't need the lock screen until the screen turns off and you go to turn the screen on again.

If you don't want that, try looking in the phone's security settings for an option to turn secure start-up off.
