Android Central Question

The battery was about 50% charge when i turned off to remove the memory stick.
Replaced battery and switched on to stat the phone up, it showed "Samsung" and did it's usual jingle but just stayed like that , it didn't do the usual routine of then showing "O2" and the keyboard for pin entry .

Tried twice with same result , on third attempt instead of showing "Samsung" it showed a message "updating Android 14 of 25 " updates so i left it for a few minutes to do this and reboot itself , but nothing happened .

Now it wont respond or show anything , it doesn't show anything when i plug in a micro cable .

The battery does have charge , the Only thing the phone does do is the usual buzz (indicating power on ) when i long press the power button .

help & suggestions appreciated

Probably going need to find another battery from reputable place but most of the batteries your going find are going be old as they have storage life up to certain time and s4 is a old device .I'll leave a link to register so you can communicate here , as a guest account you can't.https://forums.androidcentral.com/showthread.php?t=409154

Keep it plugged in so the battery doesn't die. Wait for it to finish what it's doing (which could take hours). When it shows "updating Android 14 of 25 ", you don't do anything, or you'll get corrupted files, and have to go through the same thing, from 1, again.
