My Samsung S5 recently started randomly making this tone that "beeps" 4 times even when it is muted.

It does it all night even when all noises have been muted. I think this started with the last system update. I noticed that i can no longer mute all sounds except important notifications. I am about ready to throw this phone as it keeps waking me up. Please help. I have disabled everything I can find one at a time but it still beeps.

Welcome to Android Central! Is it a simple beep, or a more complex sound? It might be NFC, which might be triggered by a nearby item that also has an NFC chip (like certain credit cards).
