Now that the title got your attention just know that I am not here to bash the phone. I like it overall. But there are a few issues with it that are a big deal to me and maybe others have have figured them out.

#1 The Alarm. I already changed the setting so it will snooze more than 3 times. But it randomly will not go off again after the set 10 minutes of snooze.
This morning I carefully touched the SNOOZE button on the screen and did not swipe the off button. I got one snooze and then the second time I carefully pushed snooze the alarm never went off again.
This is troublesome because if I fall completely asleep again I may oversleep.
I did a search a week ago (broad search on the internet) and I am not the only one with this issue.

#2 I have added several people in as contacts and make calls and receive them with their name on the screen and the next day or later that day I find that those contacts are gone!
I have added the same few people over and over and over and they are in the contacts when I look and I can call them etc but after a little time they are gone!

#3 This dang thing is sensitive to the touch and I often pull it out of my pocket to find it in some settings menu or something. Pretty lame that the phone is "locked" yet it somehow gets into the settings menu for various things. :-/

The last thing that is a bummer is that as I am back on Verizon with a Verizon branded phone I see that they have killed the FIND MY PHONE feature and want to push the $9.99 per month family locator. What a pile of dung.
I have lookout installed on our phones but it isn't working right on my daughter's phone. We had Microsoft phones for a few years before going back to three Samsung phones and one thing I liked on the Microsoft was built in phone security. No app needed. It was automatic.
I could locate, ring, lock or erase a phone by remote.
Something that apps on Android can do but wow what a pain in the *** to set up.
The ALARM worked so good on my Lumia phones that I stopped using the old alarm clock.

Please. No silly fan boy comments from people offended that I have some issue with the phone. I just want to resolve these issues. I use the crap out of my phone and I'd like to make these aspects better. I did some basic searches on the forum a few times and I saw some related issues but mostly on various other sites.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Oh yeah. I installed the Arrow Launcher from day one so if you know any problems caused by that let me know. Windows Central guys suggested using that when going to an Android Phone from a Windows Phone.
I also use Cortana.

Regarding the contact issue -- are you adding those contacts to your Google account, Samsung account, or local Phone account? Does it matter which one you add them to?

Mine comes on in my pocket too. I'll pull it out and it will be doing all kinds of stuff on its own. It's actually made calendar entries and sent text messages in my pocket. I have the keep screen off setting turned on and make sure it's off every time I pocket it but it still comes on.

I'm just curious, are you guys carrying your phone naked or in a case? Mines in a case and this has never happened to me.

I've not had the first 2 happen, so not sure what to say. For the second one, maybe you are entering then in one account and then looking them up in another?? For the 3rd issue: that has happened to me. What fixed it was changing a setting under Display > Keep screen turned off. I think was was happening was I would a text message while in my pocket (before the screen had locked) and the screen would turn on and taps on the screen would cause actions to be triggered. With the new setting enabled, that is prevented.

In a protective case but no screen protector. I don't bother with those anymore. They have to be changed often to look good and the last few phones I've had (Lumia's etc) I've gone a year or two with no scratches even though I'm a hard working man and drop my phone every now and then.
I focus on protecting the edges.

I already have that setting on. Under the setting it literally says "Prevent the screen from turning on accidently while the phone is in a dark place such as a pocket or bag". But no dice. :-/

How is your device able to open the messaging app, type a message AND send the message while in your pocket? How is all that precise activity possible in your pocket?

If the screen turns on in the pocket, it wouldn't be too surprising if the Messaging icon were tapped inadvertently, then one of the existing conversations, then the text entry field. The touches may be random, but if the screen is on for long enough, those touches can easily end up causing issues like this.
