AC Question

I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 4, not rooted and with no very recent updates.

I was using an e-book app, when the device suddenly shut down, and started booting. It got past the initial 'Samsung' logo page, and to the boot page that shows the Samsung make and model, and at the bottom the OS.

It stays on this page for a few seconds, then reboots. It has been repeating this cycle for the past 2 hours.

So far, I have tried:-

Plugging in to charge - No result.
Power off, on again - No result.
Soft reset - No result.
Factory reset - Device eventually boots in safe-mode, but before I have a chance to do anything, it cuts off and starts this process again. (I have done the hard reset three times).

The device had a bit of water splash on the screen an hour or so before hand, but it really was tiny (less than a couple of rain drops), completely isolated to the screen, didn't reach the sides and was immediately wiped off.

The device is fully insured for all kinds of damage and theft, so it's not an absolute disaster, but I have a lot of stuff on there that was never backed up that I want to avoid losing if I can.

Any thoughts on what I can do?
