its an S2.. i can hear messages come threw but i cant's see anything

Hello. Did you have a screen lock active or just swipe to unlock. You can have Windows Explorer / Mac access the DCIM folder with a pc using a usb cable if there is no password/other locked screen, or by using the Samsung Kies pc program.

Do you think you had photos synced to your Google / Picasa / Photos account, or with Google+ or another cloud storage. Pictures are normally left to sync to Google by default in Accounts settings.

How about an sd card.
