My sim card isn't being recognised

I have a Samsung Galaxy Mini 4 and the sim card isn't recognised. The sim works fine in a different phone.

I have tried using code *#*#4636#*#* and this doesn't work.

Please help.

The SIM port may be damaged. The phone has to go into a repair shop.
