My SM-T530 (Lollipop 5.0.2) won't connect to pc to transfer files

Hello,

I haven't managed to find a working solution anywhere so I decided to open a new question.

The pc will charge the tablet, but I do not get an option to change to MTP (or anything else).

I have tried the following things already:
-Installing Kies
-Installing another version of Kies
-Letting Kies fix itself
-Installing Android ADB
-Removing and reinstalling Android drivers for PC
-Using a different cable
-Using a different USB port
-Using a different PC
-Rebooting both tablet and PC at the same time
-Installing 'older hardware' MTP- device drivers
-Installing 'older hardware' SAMSUNG Android ADB Interface
-Installing 'older hardware' SAMSUNG Android Composite ADB Interface
-Looking for an option in dev options to change default connection type, which there isn't
-Looking for an option in notifactions (below charging slow on my phone, not showing on tablet for some reason) , which there isn't
-Installed recommended Windows Update a third time
-Ran Driver Booster 5.2 PRO, which claims to have updated 4 drivers but with no result
