Tablet TF701T suddenly turned off and won't turn back on or charge.

I was using my tablet Transformer TF701T for the first time in a couple of months today. It had 5% battery or so, so the keyboard dock was also plugged into the wall charger.
Suddenly, during use, the tablet just went totally blank; not even the power LED is on (as it normally would be if the charger was plugged in).
The orange light is still on the keyboard dock, so that is charging.
I have tried holding down the power and volume down buttons for periods of time, but this has done nothing. I have tried plugging the charger into the base of the tablet where it docks. This did not make it light up either.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
