My tablet wont offer anything in english my apps are chinese

I did a factory reset on my hp 2101 tablet because it wouldn't do anything but load. Afterward it wouldn't come on just went to the loading screen, so I took it to a guy that I work with and he brought it back, the tablet came on and he said that the reset had deleted the operating system. He went to the hp website and reinstalled KitKat on there but now everything is in Chinese and has apps like QQ. It will not support anything Google and will not let my even download playstore to download any American apps. Is there a way to fix this?

Your friend has installed Chinese firmware variant. Bring it back to him and get him to install the firmware for you country from which the tablet was purchased.
