My take on Tempered Glass screen protectors

So after installing probably 10 different brands I have learned quite a few things.

1) They will all eventually get lint and other crap stuck to the edges where the glue is.

2) If you don't install them correctly then touch sensitivity will really suffer.

3) A little technique I learned and what has been working great for me is when installing the glass protector I use a small suction cup in the middle of the protector and when I press the protector on I make sure to push from the center out to make sure the protector is completely touching the screen before the edges stick. Once I know the protector is stuck I use a hair dryer to heat up the edges of the protector and then press the edges down so they seal as good as possible. These protectors are never perfectly molded so they will never completely seal, that is why some dust and lint gets stuck to the edges, I really don't think there is a way around it at this point.

4) If you don't get a protector small enough or case friendly enough then you will probably have problems with the corners lifting when you install your case. I have found that the Zizo brand protectors are smaller than most and work great with just about every case I have tried.

5) I am not a pro or even pretend to be, this is just what is working for me.

never thought of the hair dryer trick but can see how it might give that extra touch to get the adhesive to stick better

I agree with most everything the OP says, especially being certain to apply pressure to the center of the screen before pressing down on both adhesive edges of the screen.

However, I don't see how using the hair dryer will help, since it won't dry the adhesive. It probably will only soften it. Possibly that could help, if the adhesive wasn't put onto the edges evenly during manufacturing. But that isn't very likely.

What I worry about with using the hair dryer, is that heated soft adhesive will seep out just enough to make the very extreme edges, which shouldn't be sticky, now sticky enough to attract the dust you are complaining about. In fact, my Zagg protector, that was installed perfectly two months ago by an expert at Verizon, doesn't have ANY dust build-up along the edges.

He didn't use a dryer but was very careful, as the OP mentioned, to apply pressure to the flat portion of the screen BEFORE pressing on the edges. This IS the key to a successful installation.

I wouldn't be asking which one you purchased, if there was only one you could buy. I wish you could help narrow it down a bit. Thanks.

Bro u can go to eBay India...and search for full glue tempered glass for note 8 and seller is TELSON.electronics

Every one I have ever owned has chipped at the edges. I am currently going without one, actually I took it off even though it wasn’t cracked. I bought AppleCare+ for my iPhone 8 so I am enjoying no case no screen protector.

I also own a galaxy s8, not trolling.... I got a free screen protector for it when I bought my pelican case. Only thing is it was sticky on the edges and not anywhere else. I did not like it at all. So I chucked it out.
