My university has a "lab rat" problem

Apparently the EMRTC at New Mexico Tech had its labs get flooded with RATS. This is absolutely ridiculous. Just came to light a few days ago. I don't know how this crap could happen to an otherwise excellent university. What has me worried is the EMRTC building is across the street from the seismography equipment repair center where I will be working next semester... Hopefully my future workplace isn't next on the rats' attack map...

Maybe they escaped from a lab testing weight loss products. I would run too.

That's me IRL. And the rats in question weren't actual lab-type rats, but rather normal rats gone crazy in lab. I don't understand how they have RATS in the desert LOL.

Rats are smart - maybe they were part of an exchange program. Their fellow mice are probably at MIT (mice in training) right now.
