This is my FIRST ever video of an unboxing / review so please be gentle in the comments. I know it is probably a bit awkward and such but I just made it because I wanted to show everyone how nice of a holser/shell combo it was and how much better than the Body Glove case it was and more protective of your Droid since the screen faces inwards.

Geez, the moment I put the video up, I already have some jerk commenting on how silly and awkward my video was... maybe I should even have bothered?

Anyway, I HOPE you guys can enjoy and find the usefulness in it somewhere.

I bought the case without the holster, in fact, there was no holster on display at my VZW store, so this is the first I've seen of it.

I like the shell, but for right now am just using the bottom piece, as I mostly wanted something that would protect it when I put it on my desktop. I've ordered a Nite Ize side case that I hope to use. In any case, the shell is very sturdy and offers a lot of protection.

This case has been recalled by Verizon! Apparently it messes up the ability to slide. Yes I know users can slide the phone fine now, but the report stated that in tests it was proven that extensive use of the case resulted in hardware strain that is nonrepairable. Just a word of advice. I wanted one too! Maybe they will release another model!

I haven't heard anything about this. In factm all the VZW corporate, satellite, and primary retailer stores around here in NY have bunches of these in stock. I don't see how it could mess up the sliding function of the phone AT ALL. Besides, mine works flawlessly and doesn't touch any of the sliding apparatus at all.

In fact, it seems to me like the Body Glove case would be the case to cause the phones catastrophic failure do to the almost impossible removal of the case without yanking and forcing it off by pulling and putting stress on the slider when removing. This case causes NON of the Body Glove holster combo problems.

I've also not head of a recall notice. If the recall notice was true, ALL of the corporate Verizon Wireless stores, plus satellite stores, and premium authorized resellers would have pulled these IMMEDIATELY off store shelves.

Instead, the only ones pulling these off store shelves are paying customers it seems!

This case is also STILL AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE via Cell Phones,Smartphones,Mobile Cell Phone Plans - Verizon Wireless so I believe this recall is total BOGUS.

Thanks for the review...I picked up the case today and I really like it so far. It feels thinner than the hard clear plastic one I had on before and I like the rubber texture....good feel but not to grippy.

The only thing i have noticed is the corners seems a little sharper but not cut u sharp just more abrupt. I am liking the holder also. I usually not a holder person but I have been using it today and liking my phone not being in my pocket.

I don't believe its this model they are talking about. I was at the Verizon store last night, looking for a case for my Droid. The black hard cover case without the clip is the one that was unusable. It amazed me that the sales person would attempt to sell this case when its obvious that, once installed, prevents the screen from being flipped up. If I hadn't tried to use it before leaving the store, I would have been very upset at home. They should stop selling it!

The case/holster combo works fine.

Thanks for the review and to all the other posters who confirmed that the case/holster works fine. It looks simple, clean, and functional. I don't know if I'm going to wait for the Sedio cases or not because 30 bucks is still an investment. Do you know what the return policy is for Verizon in regards to accessories?

I know I'm a little late to the party, but I just got my droid last week.

I purchased the combo and the only complaint I really have is one of the clips rubs a little on my keys, but I hardly ever use the physical keyboard so its not that big of a deal.

I love how it really seems to protect the droid, yet doesn't add much bulk at all.
