AC Question

Ok. This is complicated but bear with me. Just in the last couple of days (since the last update oddly enough) my Youtube app on my Samsung Galaxy Sky has been acting very weird. I go into Youtube in portrait mode and everything works fine. I can pause, play, fast forward, rewind, everything just fine. Then when I try to go into landscape mode, the video continues to play normally but I have no screen control. When I tap the screen, it does absolutely nothing, no red bar at the bottom, no pause button nothing. Even when I go back into portrait mode, it still is unresponsive. Every time, I have to bring up my open-apps screen and close Youtube from there in order for it to work again in portrait mode. This ONLY happens with Youtube. My playstore, calculator, etc. are perfectly fine and work as they should. I uninstalled the last update and it fixed this issue, however I lost the ability to fast forward and rewind in ten second increments by double tapping on the right and left sides of the screen respectively. When I reinstalled the update, it went right back to being unresponsive in landscape mode. Samsung wants me to do a factory reset, but this is a very drastic action and I would prefer not to if I can help it. Has anyone else experienced similar issues? If so, could you resolve them or this a bug Youtube needs to fix?

Welcome to Android Central! Have you already tried going to the App Manager, selecting YouTube, then Storage, then Clear Cache/Clear Data?
