my zio connects to my pc, but pc shows no internet connection.

i have the easy tether ap on my zio. i connect to my pc, and it shows the network connection between the two. however it also shows my pc is not connected to the internet. only a local connection is established. i am picking up my neighbors wifi with the zio, but it is not sharing it with my pc. does anyone know why, and how i can fix this? thanks in advance.
