Android Central Question

I just bought a ZTE Blade A465. It shows the 4G is working, but whenever I try to connect to the internet, it tells me that there are no connections. I tried to connect to wifi too, and it went as far as "authenticating..." but said there was a problem with authentication. Does anyone know what could be wrong?

Welcome to Android Central! Who's your carrier? Have you already asked them about your mobile data connection?

How many different wi-fi networks did you try to connect to? Does it connect to open public wi-fi networks?

My carrier is Claro, which is a popular one in Colombia (where I'm currently located). It seems to connect to data for very basic things, but it won't connect for Google maps or Chrome. Then whenever I try to connect to my home wifi, it says authentication problem even though I know I'm using the correct password. It will say it's connecting to other wifis, but never as well as it does for my iPhone.

How strong is your LTE signal? From what I can tell, the one LTE band that Claro uses is supported by the phone, but the UMTS (3G) band is not. So if the LTE signal is weak, it might be defaulting to 2G for data, which would be painfully slow, and might cause connections to time out.

For the wi-fi issue, you mentioned it says it's connecting to other wi-fi's -- do you mean it does connect successfully if you use other wi-fi networks, but just not your own? If so, try rebooting your home router by unplugging its power for 30 seconds. If that doesn't help, see this guide for more ideas: http://forums.androidcentral.com/am...roubleshooting-wi-fi-connection-problems.html
