Here's how to apply the swype theme -

Kinda tricky but heres how.

1 - download the theme

2- download and install metamorph from the market.

3- uncheck swype in your keyboard option screen thing in the settings

4- Go into manage apps in your settings, and clear data and force stop.

5- go into metamorph, find and install the theme from your sd card

6- turn swype back on in your settings and stuff.

7- your all set.


BUT YOU WILL HAVE TO DO THIS SAME RITUAL EVERY TIME YOU REBOOT YOUR PHONE.


Thats the catch, or rather the glitch

Cool ROM but THANK GOD you can go back to default fonts. The eye strain from the font he used was terrible when trying to read my tech blogs. Also glad you can use the old keyboard.

Overall very nicely done. I played with myn on my hero back in those daysand It's just as refined for the evo.

You can also get a bolder version of the font that's comes with the ROM.

Any ROM built from the HTC framework (read sense and senseless ROMs) will work with 4G. It's AOSP ROMs (read cyanogen) that do not work with 4G. So to answer, yes, this will work with 4G services.

Enjoy the blazing fast speed of 4G!!!!

Oh and if you value your battery, be cautious with leaving 4G on. Think back 5/6 years when 3G was rolling out and leaving it on over 1xRTT would blow through a battery in short order. Well, thats 4G now. Give it 5 or so years and it will be like the modern day 3G.

Oh okay thanks (yet another noobish question lol)

Im pumped to try 4G! i have the 3500mah battery so im not as worried about battery! ill prbably just get average battery life again instead of all day.

Im on CM6 right now and have been for a couple weeks. I didnt really like MYN to much from RLS1 but its always worth another shot. if i dont like it ill just flash Vael again for the week.

And to answer Jerzy i dont know.. i thought i liked Vael alot until i did CM6 and SuperEVo.. i love them. But i never hated sense so its a possibility.

I'll probably run this for a week or so, 4G on CM6 is around the corner though.


Cyanogens tweets spike about it and him personally working on it a lot.

MAYBE...depends on how much faster it feels than vaelpak.

When I first rooted I ran Baked Snack... used to get 40 hours light usage... sigh... good ol' days.

Then I was big on Cyanogen when it came out... but I finally moved over to Fresh... where I'm sitting right now until something very good comes by.

It replaced mine I was using MYN's first ROM as my go to ROM before this one hit. I am running this now I will most likely keep a Nand backup to jump back to for work hours. Still cant decide if I like it better than Valpack
