I'm going to first explain what I did and then my thoughts. I want to know if someone can replicate this. First though, when I got this phone I had an SD card full of stuff, using it like a flash drive. Music was in a folder I created called "Music".
I listened to a downloaded podcast in the music program and selected to have it deleted in the music program. Once I confirmed, it could only find one other file located in the "downloads" folder. All my pictures and documents were gone as well. I get the feeling that saved data from programs was still there.
I spent the better part of an evening recovering the card.
Last night I deleted an eBook from my card inside the ebook reader program. My music is gone but it seems some of my pictures were spared.
This is what I know and assume:
Only happens when deleting files from inside programs
Only seems to delete folders not added by the system
Has this happened to anyone else? Is anyone daring enough to try it out? Should I be screaming at T-Mobile, HTC, or Google? I feel like this should be one of those launch delay bugs not one you let through.
Thanks.
