N! Desktop Dock

I have recently purchased a Nexus One and I have been interesting in getting the desktop dock but I have not had any luck besides ebay. I was wondering you anyone knows a place I can get the dock or another alternative that uses the pins to charge the phone. Also if anyone is selling theres please contact me about it.

Warning: they are still backordered. Mine had an ETA of 9/8/2010 and then the next ETA was TBD (to be determined) which suggests to me they are selling like hotcakes and every Nexus owner is trying to pick one of these up.

They are pushing the back order out further and further.

My 9/8/2010 turned into 9/27/2010.
Then that turned into 10/4/2010
Then that turned into 11/26/2010

Everybody waiting for this should write ***** emails so maybe the guy hand making them in his garage will get an assistant or something.

Yeah, now there's almost nothing even to purchase. I'm trying to find a replacement battery cover, but I can't find any.

I complained to HTC about the delay and got the following back

Thank you for your recent email. The reason that the back order keeps being pushed back is due to the fact that we have not received a shipment of the product from the manufacture. You can either continue to wait for the item or you may go onto the site that you placed the order and see if we have another item that would be comparable to item on the order.

So they contracted this out to someone else, who apparently is too busy to deliver.

Finally got mine.

I like it. I replaced the 3.5m cable with a double ended male cable and it works great on my desktop.

No more cabling up.

Do you find that the device slips out of the dock easily? I had to put tape across the front to keep it in contact with the charging pins. Given the issues with actually getting the device, I'm really not interested in trying to get a replacement. (Plus, electrical tape just broadcasts my geekiness.)

I could definitely bump it out of the dock easily enough. Its designed for quick in and quick out. But it does not slip out in normal use unless I start waiving things around on my desk. I just moved it back closer to my monitor out the way of coffee cups and papers.

Oh, and the other thing that doesn't work at all is when you stick the nexus in it upside down. DOH!
