so i finally have done some researching on chrome os, and i want this like yesterday. i am buying a netbook soon though, and will not be able to wait for the os' release. my question is this (an hopefully it will be able to be answered). how easy will it be to remove whatever version of windows is installed on my coumpter, and install chrome? or will chrome somehow be able to be installed over top of windows? dont know enough about pc's to know how this will work

from what i understand, you won't be able to replace windows with Chrome. The laptops sold with chrome will have to be designed around the OS.

I had a version of the OS installed on my netbook. I had it as part of a tri-boot, Windows 7, Linux and the Chrome one. So, loaded next to, not over top of those other operating systems.

Personally, I didn't use it all that much, and trashed it from the hard drive. Sure, it was nice for a quick load up to search for something, but now that I have my Incredible, I just use that and have a fully functional OS on the netbook for doing things.

just very excited about this. it seems from what i have seen so far that while it wont necessarily replace windows on your desktop, it is a perfect OS for netbooks
