N1 close for Verizon?

A word of caution. I can't comment on the reliability of the tipster but this apparent screen shot would take me 5 seconds to photoshop.

Did anyone else notice a change of Google's site today?

Why would anyone photoshop when it looks far more authentic to just edit the HTML?

Just saying, it sounds silly to immediately jump to a less efficient manipulation technique.

I agree with this guy:

"Might be fake... but if not, then I'd say the phone will be for sale VERY soon. This happened very briefly before the AT&T banded version went up."

Edit the HTML just to take a screen shot?

The more I look at it the more I believe it is photoshop. The size and weight of "$199.00" is different from Google's actual site. It also appears to be a different typeface all together. This would require a change in the CSS. (I can't think of any reason why there would be a chance to the style sheet.) Also the relation of the word "Accessories" to the above content seems to be too far left when compared to the real site.

Not saying it's silly that we think it is--it is.

I'm just saying it'd take a lot less work to edit the page, and would look a lot more real, because everything would look the way it's supposed to, exactly.

EDIT: as this other charming chap points out:

I just wish something would happen soon with either the N1 or the Incredible!

Exactly what is the difference between the verizon-version and the current one? Is it hardware or software?

The current (AT&T and T-Mobile) one uses sim cards, Verizon and Sprint don't. The hardware must be changed slightly to work with the different networks.

Well, AT&T and T-mobile have totally different radios (GSM) than do sprint and vzw (CDMA). So yes, the hardware must have been changed, unless HTC build the phone with dual radios.

I think the N1 will launch within the next two weeks. That being said, it took 2 months between the AT&T N1 clearing the FCC and it appearing on Google.com/Phone.
