Hi,

I'm thinking about buying a new tablet. I'm actually comparing the N10, the Samsung Infinity Pad and the still to come Sony Xperia Z. I will mostly be watching movies, surfing internet and watch streaming Tv series. My cellphone is a galaxy nexus, is one of the reasons why I prefer Android tablet. Mostly, it's just because i don't like apple and prefer an open interface. My questions are, should I wait for the Sony tablet expected to hit the market in May? Will the updates be available? Is the Sony tablet as fast as the N10 and Infinity? Is the infinity better than the N10? For now, I don't really care about the external storage. Do you have information about the Pogo project to charge faster the N10?

What would you recommend?

if software is your priority
Nexus 10 > Infinity & Xperia Z

if Screen is your priority
Nexus 10 > Infinity & Xperia Z

if H/W design is your priority
Xperia Z > Nexus 10 & Infinity

i believe the infinity pad is made by Asus not samsung

Is the infinity better than the N10?

Not in any way I can think of. The Infinity was so unstable that I thought mine may be defective and ultimately went through three of them - all with the same lag and crash problems. I found it to be unusable and resorted to using an ipad (gasp!) until the Nexus 10 was released.

I guess if you absolutely must have a keyboard battery dock, there is no reason to buy the Asus. But you can buy a decent bluetooth keyboard for about $30 for the Nexus 10 - that's what I did. The Asus keyboard is not a full size keyboard, and while the battery aspect was neat, it wasn't something I needed.

The bottom line:

Nexus 10 > ipad > Note 10.1 > Infinity TF700

I would definitely get the Nexus 10 over those 2 but see what they say about the Xperia when it comes out if you're thinking about it before you make a decision.

Thank you very much! Being so close to the launch of the Xperia, I'll wait to see what experts on the subject will say about the new tablet. But so far, the N10 seems the best choice overall.

Thanks to all!

I found some critics about the charging time of the Nexus 10. I also read that if you're watching a moive while charging, the battery level will stay the same or may event decrease... People talks about the pogo charger, did anyone tried it? is it worth the $20?

the pogo charger apparently charges slightly faster than it discharges, so would be wortn it

I was going to wait for the iPad mini Retina but I'm not exactly patient. :)

I just saw the hands-on Sony XPERIA Z tablet and I'm very impressed! I'm not going to lie, I like my Car, Girls and Toys I base it on Design/Looks first. Except for 4.2.2 I can live with the Specs.

After seeing the newly release reviews. The add-ons by sony seems to be a plus value, but they also make the tablet lag.

Is everyone still believing that the software and screen is better on the N10, but the hardware/design is better on the Xperia Z?
