N4 with AT&T

Something I noticed with AT&T and don't understand. The only way my N4 can use my work AT&T SIM is if its under a Blackberry Entperise Plan. I've tried a SIM from a S3 with 4G enabled and I get gray bars. Any suggestions?

Check your APN settings, there are a bunch of threads here with different ones you can try. If that fails call AT&T and they will put the correct data plan on your account.

I just went to the ATT Store and got a MicroSIM card.. my GS2 had the standard SIM.. nothing else was required.. logged into the phone with my Google Account and everything sync'd to my N4.. nice! The same data plan... nothing had to be done to my existing plan.

I swap my SIM between an iphone 5 and my Nexus 4 almost daily. I used this forum to change my APN settings and I have no problems. Do some searching. It should be easy to find. If you can't find it let me know and I'll screen shot my APN and post it here.

There is some info missing... Are you saying this is a completely stock Nexus 4 and not set up on enterprise previously? Did or do you you have a non blackberry data plan?

Maybe your SIM is provisioned to a blackberry plan?

So I had my work clear account and put it on a 4G smartphone plan. So far everything seems to be ok. I'll keep my eye on it. I'll try the APN settings also in case things act weird.
