Received my Android Pie update today. Showed up in my notifications as ready to install -- I didn't need to check for updates.

System seemed to carryover without many issues. Notifications look different. Recent items now scrolls horizontally (windows phone memories). I had a fingerprint app installed for FPS gestures -- that no longer works :(

Android security patch level Nov 1 2018.

Google definitely implemented fingerprint in Pie - but it was a bit flaky even on a Pixel 2. A few reboots, or a notification to Google (from Settings) may fix that in an update.

Where are you based? I understand that it's rolling out on a schedule for different areas.

US / Chicago area. So far my biggest post pie issue has been Bluetooth in car. Every few minutes connection resets. Going to try drop/add connection.

Pie bluetooth update - Stabilized now. I cleared out all my O connections and reset with Pie. Things back to normal so far. So when you upgrade to pie, advise clearing out all bluetooth connections if you have any issues.

After not having received the Pie update yet and reading the Nokia support forums, it looks as if the update has been pulled because it's apparently bricking many phones. Anyone else got further information?

Too late to take away my pie. If it is any consolation the changes to me are minor. Not worth problems if there are issues.

The n7.1 doesn't seem to have much following on ac.

I agree Ben, not a great deal of following on here as yet.

Another issue mentioned in the Nokia support forum was, that after the Pie update, batter drain was horrendous. Have you had any problem with this issue?

I haven't even had the November patch yet, let alone Pie. But I guess it's better that the update gets fixed before it rolls out to the UK.

All the reviews say the N7.1 doesn't meet their battery expectations, but I have been happy with it. I can regularly go a full day without charging with 40%+ remaining when I go to bed. Coming from a OP3 I'm going through charging withdrawals.

Android Pie and Oreo seem to be the same for me.

With Pie, AccuBattery shows full battery usage estimates:

Screen on: 5h
Screen off: 24h
Combined Use: 18h

Yes, I normally end the day with around 40% of battery. That's OK with me. After all its only 3060 mah so I wouldn't expect much more. Just hope it doesn't deteriorate over time like my last phone.
