Nandroid Backup Question

Does anyone if it's safe to restore a Nandroid backup from one Fascinate to a replacement. I don't need to now, but I would like to know this for future reference.

From a device usability perspective, I think it's perfectly safe. People have been doing it for a while now, and I haven't heard anything bad come out of it.

From a security standpoint, it may not be. You've seen yourself the password, etc. stored in cleartext.. who knows what kind of data might be left behind, contacts, google accounts, etc..

While I would use someone else's nandroid in a pinch, I would never share my own, unless it was from a newly wiped/refreshed state.
