Nandroid Backup

Just a quick question...

I think I might have buggered up my hosts file while trying to get Ad Free to work. My Sirius/XM application keeps saying that it's unable to make a network connection...my 3G is working fine otherwise. The only thing I can think of that I've done since it worked last was goofin' with the hosts file.

I'm thinking of doing a Nandroid recovery that I made when I rooted the phone. What exactly happens if I do that? Will it restore the system files to the condition they were in when I did the backup? My data and programs...will I need to do a Titanium Backup recovery too?

If I need to recover the apps, I might as well just to a wipe.

Which leads to another question...I've got about an hour invested in the scene I've built for my phone. How do I back it up?

As far as the android backup goes, it will restore everything (programs, info, apps, EVERYTHING) to the way they were before.

As for the Scenes backup, read through this thread on XDA; hopefully it'll help you out: Possible to backup yout HTC Sense "Scene" - xda-developers

Come to think of it, the Nandroid backup/recovery might not be the way I want to go.

I just did a wipe to clear the "memory low" problem. Since I rooted a little more than a week ago, I'll probably be just inviting another wipe.

But thanks so much for the quick response.

I just did a wipe...restored with Titanium Backup...including the home screens. As was posted in that xda thread, the widgets didn't come back, which to me wasn't a biggie.

I did a Nandroid backup after I had it all settled in. Hopefully, I can use that the next time.

Thanks again.

No problem. Glad that it all went off without any problems!
