How does one delete a nandroid backup? I have like nine backups. I don't need that many. If anything, after the first two most recent ones I lose track of them.

/sdcard/clockwordmod/backup/

All the backup folders are in there, provided you have a ClockworkMod based recovery.
Most people are.

Just delete the folder of whichever ones you want to get rid of.

Thanks a lot! I now have three gigs on my SD card free. I had twelve backups.

wow, that's a lot!

I used to keep more than I needed to, and learned quickly that I only need one "latest" for each ROM I like to run. No reason to keep multiple versions, because it just gets confusing anyway remembering which is which and what details are different about each one.

Yeah, I just let them build up. I had no idea that I had that many until I saw today. I didn't count them till I started deleting them.

I actually now have 3.85 GB free now, so it's actually closer to four. I edited my last post to reflect that. :)

Haha same here i had like under a gig of memory then i realized it was bc of like eleven backups. Now i have four gigs.

It really adds up!!! I just kept backing up without realizing how many backups I was making until I tried to use one of the backups recently and saw the long list.

yea if ya didnt know & notice my other post, if u can wait longer after restoring
then u can make your backup smaller by deleting the cache/dlavik cache before backing up.

Do you happen to know how much time is added to the restore time when doing this?

ok so just to humor your question, I just downloaded stopwatch on my optimus S
I backed up my Optimus V as is, followed by a cache wipe/dlavik wipe
the Original only 166 mb, Ive removed lotsa bloat, boot in 2:14
the cache/dlavik wipe 130 mb saving a little space but for me it's trance mp3 space so I will be needing it.
boot in 2:45
30 seconds is not bad
this is from md5 check right after pressing yes to the icons loading in the app drawer(wifi on)
lol. sometimes my cache makes the backup almost 200 mb
I think it's from using mixzing & I doubt it clears cache on close, google maps too , I think those apps "bloat" my cache, I dont use much else..
mind that I'm using Picasticks on Backside with many apps removed/replaced
and what apps can be are in /system/app
oh yeah and I'm using the most recent xionia recovery as linked from the harmonia 1.6 release thread

I hope Im not late to this party...but when deleting backup and such be sure to never delete your original nandroid. If you created it with clockwork it will be dated from the first date you did your modding. Otherwise it will have a folder name like BCDAS. This is important incase you ever want to go back to your stock rom. Or need to activate and instead of installing a froyo rom you just restore this backup.

I'm glad someone uploaded a stock ROM though!
