I have a NAS at home link to my Linksys Nrouter. Is there a way to be able to get to the file on the NAS.

Can i simply use a file manager and map to the NAs

i'm i the only one with a netowkred hard drive ? lol
Well here is update , there is an file manager app in the market with access to network drive / all you need is the app with the Samba plug in

I have two 12TB ReadyNAS Pro Pioneer units, I just don't have any reason to access them from the XOOM...everything I might need on the XOOM is in my Dropbox.

Good to know though...thanks.

ES File Explorer is another app that you can use. I almost prefer this one as it has a few more options compared to Astro.

I also use ES File Explorer to map network drives on my internal network. Works great to upload/download files...and it's free!

Astro file manager has an SMB plug in that may work.

I tried this a few days ago and it crashed every time I tried to connect to a share. Anybody gotten this to work on the Xoom?

For now I'll try the ES File Explorer. Thanks.

There is a thread over at xda-developers that has a pretty good guide to setting it up.

Stream video from NAS - xda-developers

This way mounts the NAS share to a folder so you can stream audio/video from it as well as transfer files. You will need a rooted xoom and the cifs.ko module. They can be found at xda as well.

I tried Astro and also had the crash problem. I changed to ES File Explorer and have had no problems.

Ghost commander was able to open share drive with no issue , make sure you install the additional plug in
