My Navigation app has stopped providing voice based turn by turn directions.

Turn by turn works, just no voice. There is an option to turn voice on and off... neither setting seems to work.

Has this happened to anyone else? is there a fix?

Do you have your media volume turned up. Thats what mine was, I turn it down because I play games between class ar college, it thats not the issue then try going into app management and clear data and cache from the navigation app.

Very true. When you adjust the volume click on the settings button and make sure all are up. It looks like the picture below once you select the settings button after pressing the volume rocker. Hope that helps. By the way, this was possible to do because the note 2 is an awesome phone!

Also if you hit menu, there is an option to mute voice....

Thanks for the responses...

I figured I would be asked if I had the volume turned up.

Yes the volume was up. All of the sliders were up. Yes I toggled the voice on and off in the app multiple times to no avail.

The voice actually comes and goes. Some days the voice is there, sometimes it isnt.

I just unrooted today and did the 4.1.2 update. Unrooting does a factory reset so checking it just now I have voice. Hopefully is stays that way.
