NBA League Pass - Mobile - MHL to TV Possible?

Hey I'm also a Cord Cutter and with a new little one and the associated child care fees looking to save money everywhere I can. The NBA League Pass mobile is only $49.99 for an Android Phone. Can you take this via MHL via HDMI to your TV or is it blocked (I recall some stuff with Apple and Airplay gets blocked)? If it is possible, can anyone comment on the quality? $49.99 is a pretty great pricepoint if so and I don't mind hooking it up when I want to watch a game.

I tried this last night with my T-Mobile Galaxy S3, it was decent. The volume was a bit variable, especially in the transitions from the game to the interludes (where commercials would normally be). The "bumper music" would start out very loud before moderating a bit. The picture quality was mostly good and sometimes very good. I was connected via my home WiFi (20 mbps DSL). There were a few moments of buffering and block-y blotchy picture, but for $80 less, I think it's a bargain.

I'll test a bit more during the trial period, but if the quality is consistently equal or better to Pacers/Magic, I think I'll pull the trigger.
