NC with Froyo locked up

My NC with Froyo is locked up with the screen on and the Phone Options dialog up (silent mode, airplane mode, power off.) Is there any way to force a reboot other than through the software? Eventually my battery will die, but I'd prefer to get it running without waiting for that to happen.

Hold down the power button.
If that doesn't work, hold down power +n.
If that doesn't work, hold down power + volume up +n.

You have have to hold the button(s) down for around 30 seconds.

I miss battery pulls.
